We are a congregation of about 100 Christians seeking to be faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ in Eldorado, Texas.  We are a family church looking to adopt others into the family of faith.   Through our our worship, music, prayer, fellowship, and mission we are living out God's call in West Texas.  Join us!

The first Presbyterian gatherings began in Schleicher County in 1903.  A second Presbyterian fellowship started in 1912 on the opposite end of the county.  In the early 1920's the two groups joined forces and began meeting in a central location.  The sanctuary and current campus was erected in 1925 and continues to grow.

Presbyterian comes from the Greek word "Presbuteros," appearing in the New Testament as the English word, "Elder".  Presbyterian government, therefore, is a system of being governed by elected elders from within the congregation.  The government of the United States of America was founded on a Presbyterian form of government (a majority of the founding fathers were Presbyterians).

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has approximately 2.5 million members, 11,200 congregations and 21,000 ordained ministers. Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage began with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.

Presbyterians are distinctive in two major ways: they adhere to a pattern of religious thought known as Reformed theology and a form of government that stresses the active, representational leadership of both ministers and church members.
